We believe that it's important to give back. Ever since we started our little shop, we wanted to find a partner that would help us do just that. We're so proud and honoured that The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) is that partner.

WHAT DSWT DOES

The DSWT is an amazing charity that embraces all measures that support the conservation, preservation and protection of wildlife in Kenya. These include safe-guarding the natural environment through de-snaring and aerial surveillance patrols, enhancing community awareness, addressing human-wildlife conflict issues, providing veterinary assistance to animals in need, rescuing and hand rearing elephant and rhino orphans, along with other species, so that they can ultimately enjoy a quality of life in the wild. Simply said, the work carried out by the DSWT is outstanding; and crucial to preserving wildlife in East Africa. We researched lots of different partners, but DSWT was always at the top of our list. How DSWT operates, their mission, and also how transparent they are about the work they do inspired us.

WHERE DO YOU COME IN?

The team at DSWT picked their favourite books from the Little Elephant Books shop! You can easily identify these from the DSWT stamp on the book images. Every time you buy one of these books, we send 50p to DSWT on your behalf. Shopping with us not only helps children fall in love with reading with their very own personalised story, but you're also helping DSWT to rescue little elephants in need and help them back to the wild!
